endofseason2016

After such a great weekend with good conditions and lots of sunshine we were hoping for more of the same but apparently mother nature doesn’t feel the same way. Thank you to all our customers that came out to support us this season. Even though the season was shorter than all of us would have liked we did have many good days of skiing/snowboarding. Have a great spring and summer and let’s start thinking snow right now for next season! (by the way, next season has a lot of potential to be a very good winter)

The weather next week is not looking very good and this could be our last weekend, we hope not but it could be. Don’t miss a great day to be on the slopes, hope to see you there!

Despite the weather that mother nature has thrown at us the past two weeks, the main trails are in good shape, the tubing park will be operating and all lifts will be running this weekend. Don’t judge our conditions from your backyard, we have SNOW!!

fireworks!

We will be hosting the snowtown closing ceremonies with a torchlight parade and fireworks, the torchlight parade will begin around 6:15pm with the fireworks to follow from the top of the hill! It is a great show that can be seen from miles away in many areas around Jefferson county. We are looking for skiers to be in the parade, for more info give us a call or stop by the ticket desk on Sunday, hope to see you there!!

Mother Nature

Mother Nature continues to be as uncooperative as she has been most of this winter, after receiving over 4″ of snow this morning, the snow mixed with rain, then changed to rain, then to freezing rain and around 3pm back to snow. We have received around 4″ of snow since the change over and we will be hard at work getting the slopes and tubing park ready to open for Wednesday. The good news, snow is always good. The bad news we did not need this kind of storm during the winter break. We will be back open Wednesday and hope to see you there!
